Grant’s Farm

If you are planning to have a memorable vacation down to St. Louis, Missouri, don’t forget to include Grant’s Farm in your destination list. Grant’s Farm was actually once owned by former president Ulysses S. Grant and is now owned by the Busch family. It is a great place for families to spend time together, interact with various animals and feel the beauty of nature. As a matter of fact, it was named as the seventh-best family attraction nationwide by the US Family Travel Guide Zagat Survey®.

There are lots of enjoyable things to do in the Grant’s Farm. You can find various animals in a tram tour in the Deer Park including buffalo, elephants, camels, donkeys, goats, peacocks and many more.  The farm also features the cabin which was made by the president himself. It is the only remaining structure hand-built by a US president before assuming office. You can also take a tour into the Busch family mansion and the house which Ulysses Grant resided before. You can witness fun animal shows in the Tier Garten, wander around the beautiful courtyard in The Bauernof and visit the Clydesdale Stable. Camping is also available for those who want to take a safari ride around the area.  Just across the farm is the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site which is known to be the former White Haven plantation owned by Julia Grant.
